Legal Question in Family Law in California

Need help ASAP..Legal Separation Questions

1. What determines the legal separation date?

2. Under the housing section, what should I put if my husband and I have seperate residences in separate states. We have no kids, no joint assets, no joint debt..We would both be responsible for our own lives.

3. Is there anything sneaky I should know about with Legal Separation or is it straight forward?

It sounds like you're trying to represent yourself in your family Law matter. I highly recommend retaining an attorney to help you through this complex area of the law. Legal separation occurs when either one or both of the parties separate with the intent to permanently separate, or upon filing dissolution of marriage or legal separation papers with the court.
