Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am now being asked to pay for health care for my two kids? Is it against the law to insure them twice? Once by the mother and now by me?

Health insurance is only needed if the first insurance is inadequate. In any case make sure you are not being asked to simply reimburse mother for her half of the insurance she is paying. Both parents are to share the costs of the health care for the children.
