Legal Question in Family Law in California

Assalmualaikum. We are married and also living abroad for 16 years with two daughters now living in the USA on Green card. Two years ago my husband went to Bangladesh to do some business and to maintain his career leaving us here solely on my hard laborious income. He visited us every six months mainly to keep his immigration status. After gaining absolutely nothing from BD he came back here and after another 3 months I came to know that he not only got married to a two times divorcee but also they have a son together. Their marriage cert shows that she is a KUMARI and from his part (if he ask first wife for permission box is blank). Now I would like to know if their marriage is valid or not and what is BD law on this matter. Thank you so much for your reply in advance.

We are USA lawyers here, specifically California lawyers. I can tell you that California will not recognize his second marriage. It is void under California law and no rights or responsibilities of marriage would be enforced in California courts. We cannot advise you on Bangladeshi law. You will have to ask a Bangladesh lawyer what their law is on this matter.
