Need immediate assistance with child custody (post judgment)
June of last year, my domestic partner and I got into a fight-just as much my fault as his I take most, if not all of the blame-and I, in an attempt to teach him a lesson, put him in jail -little did I know the lesson I was to be taught- My ex husband (dave) filed a protective order against my current (marin) stating he could go nowhere near my boys. marin has never harmed the boys in any way, but we did abide by the order. The morning after returning from a 2 wk vacation, with their father, my youngest (drew) thought he heard marin in the house, ran to the neighbors and called the police-they searched the house for 1 1/2 hours and marin was not found, as he was never there. The boys were still taken from me and placed with my ex. He then held an ex-parte hearing on 10/11 (without my knowledge) and was given sole custody of the boys. I have been trying to do this on my own and am finding it increasingly difficult, due to the lies my ex has told. Marin's mother is a family law attorney in sacramento and has been assisting me but i need local legal rep. I have been unable to find someone thus far due to the lack of a retainer fee which I now have, but the hearing is 4/7 and i'm told i need counsel to continue, i can't..help!
