Legal Question in Family Law in California

I need assistance with a wage attachment or garnishment. Currently more than 70% of my wages are being attached from the State of Michigan for child support arrears. How can I get the amount reduced? After missing nearly 1 paycheck I am at the point where do not have enough to live on.

You must try to file an exemption. I believe that you may be able to have it reduced to 25% of your wages. Contact me directly.

There is a Federal limit to how much of your pay can be garnished. You should appear ex parte and ask the court to reduce the wage assignment until a motion can be heard.
