Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have attemted to have my ex served three times so far. I just had a hearing today and had proof from a Sheriff's department saying he was evading service. I am trying it one more time but can I get him to stop and if he keeps it up what steps do I need to take so I can gain full custody of my children?

You will need to spend some time with a process server who are professionals at serving people who are difficult to serve. They will do their best to serve the individual either at home or work, or out and about. If you are unable then you may need to ask the court for permission to do a substitute service, but that method is not favored by the courts.

For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.

As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
