Legal Question in Family Law in California

attorney client relationship

If I retain an attorney for Family law is the attorney obliged to provide legal services for me in a criminal case or do use a public defender.

For what reasons can an attorney withdraw from a client. Can I expect a monthly statement from my attorney

Re: attorney client relationship

If you retained a family law attorney, more than likely you retained him or her solely for the family law issue with which you were faced. Typically, the retainer agreement you hopefully signed will lay out the scope of representation and specify that the attorney is only being hired for a specific issue and not any other matters.

It sounds like you need a criminal defense attorney. If you are serious about hiring one, contact us. Otherwise, if you cannot afford one, the public defender will be appointed.
