Legal Question in Family Law in California

My attorney license been revoked.At the court date he brought a new attorney with him who signed substitusion of attorney w/o court order.

My attorney told me that he will pay the new one and will continue to act as the clerck.Now my new attorney is asking me to pay hourly fees.What can I do

Even though your original attorney's license has been revoked, that doesn't mean you get a free pass and not have to pay any attorney from now on. You don't have to stay with this new attorney if you're uncomfortable. You have the right to get another attorney. But you would have to pay the attorney who substituted in (the current attorney of record) for whatever little work he's already done on your behalf. Going to another family law attorney may or may not save money on the hourly fees, another one might charge even more per hour.
