my attorney no show allimony awarded

My attorney failed to appear for a court date and my spouse was awarded allimony. How do I get back in court to have the order ammended or squashed? Is an OSC the quickest? I will be filing a substitute of attorney and representing myself. I paid the attorney $1,400.00 of a $2,500.00 retainer. How do I get these fees reimbursed to me? Will the California State bar help me??

You have the right to have the fee arbitrated. You should contact another attorney to determine whether it is worth the time and cost to go bact to court and have the order set aside. Move quickly as the longer you wait the less likely it is that you will be successful.
