Legal Question in Family Law in California

Attorney no show...case dismissed

I had hired an atty in Fresno in 02' who went to Mexico instead of court, which resulted in my ex getting sole legal and physical. Hired another atty in April to correct the situation(I filed the paperwork, attended mediation, and had a court date set). He was called to another case and said he had another atty to cover the court date and reset(per agreement with opposing atty) for the 17th of this month. ''Other atty(sub.)'' was a no show causing the case to be dismissed. I didn't find out it was dismissed until 1 week before I was to fly to Fresno for the court date. My atty didn't know until then either. What can I do. I am $3100 into this. I have filed all of the paperwork thus far, and it was all for nothing. I want to get back the full amount I gave him and hire another atty. All I am getting is lip service and an ''oh well'' attitude....I can hardly get him to call me back. Do you know of any dependable atty's in Fresno that specialize in Family Law?
