avoid going to court

my ex and i have came into an agreement and would like to settle things out of court regarding visitations with our son, can i go back and drop everything that was takend to court since i was the one who had decided to go to began with?

A deal is great, but once the court is active, you must do things correctly to get court behind the scenes, and never really out of the picture. Assuming you filed, and assuming ex responded, case usually cannot be "dismissed". However, you can write up your agreement, file it with the court, pay a small fee, and that will be the court order. If there is a problem or a change, then you can go back to court to fix it or make a new deal. You're in court, so work it in court, rather then try to be outside the system. It is there to help you in transitions.
