Legal Question in Family Law in California

If I have my baby born in Calif and the father is in AR, I may not go back to Ar. What rights do we both have for the babies well being. If I go to Ar to visit do I have to stay because of the baby? I would like to stay in Calif. Just dont know what to legally do.

The child's residence governs jurisdiction, which appears to be CA in this case. Unless there are court orders you can go anywhere with the child.
