Having a baby

I do not want my baby to have the dads last name or for him to have any way to take her away I'm 6 month pregnate I will not put hs name on the birth certificate what can I do to protect myself and my baby

You should discuss this with an attorney. One question is what are you protecting yourself and the baby from? If father is violent then you can get a restraining order.

If you are not married then you do not have to put his name on the birth certificate. State that the father is unknown. Then do not seek child support from him.

If he is determined the be the father he will have parental rights.
