Legal Question in Family Law in California

Back Child Support

I have custody of two children. One child will be eighteen soon; other child wants to go live with father. Father owes $25000 back child support. Father never paid me according to divorce judgment - specifically; did not sign over property awarded in divorce.

If child lives with father do I have to pay child support since he is so far behind.

How do I get father to sign deed to property awarded to me.

Re: Back Child Support

There is no way that your question can be answered over the internet. Getting someone to follow a court order requires an analysis of the person the court order and what is at stake. Even if you have to pay child support now, but the amount he owes you is earning 10% per annum interest. As to getting him to transfer the property etc per the court order you may be able to proceed with an action for contempt of court, depending on the order.
