is there a statute of limitations on a court order for child support after the child turns 18. if so what year did that become active and before that year would any court orders established also fall under that new law. can you attach a lien against a party who failed to make child support payments as ordered by a court. could the lien be applied to land owned by the party required to make such child support payments.

Re: back-due child support
Child support is due until it is paid. Property of the debtor may be subject to attachment. obtain a court order setting the amount of child support due. Then record an abstract of judgment in the county in which the property it located. The local child support enfrocement agency should be able to assist you in collecting.
