Bad Attorney - Recourse?

My former divorce/child custody attorney did not file forms I instructed him to over an 8 month period. 1. Forms were to apply for child support and his delay cost me close to $10k. 2. I fired him, and now he will not turn over my files or respond to phone calls/emails/letter. What can I do?
