Legal Question in Family Law in California

Batterer Intervention Course

A mother has had a restraining order on her by the Orange County Ct.,CA and ordered to take a Batterer Intervention Course. She is not allowed to see her child unless she complies. Will agreeing to take this particular course does that mean she is agreeing she is guilty or by taking the course will that be recorded and influence her ability to get a job as a teacher? She desires to appeal the case.

Re: Batterer Intervention Course

It's not about the batterer's course, there's no public record of that, it's about the restraining order, by which I assume you mean a Domestic Violence Restraining Order, a CLETS order. That will show up if a prospective employer searches for it and what the prospective employer's policy may be is beyond me.
