beginning a new business
I am not legally divorced yet, on July
11th, I will be with the reservation of
judgment on our finances. If I start a
new business after the divorce but
before settling our assets will this
business become part of the
settlement?

There is no simple answer to your question. First what is the source of assets that you will be using to start this new business. If you use community property to start the business, then the community would have an interest in the business. Contact an attorney regarding you situation.
