Bifurcation//Proposed Judgment
25 year marriage, separated in 2004 and spouse filed for divorce beginning of 2006. We tried to mediate but spouse drags it out. I filed a motion for bifurcation Dec 2007. Court hearing was continued twice, last because I didn't have the ''proposed judgment'' my spouses' lawyer requested (they didn't oppose but wanted that proposed judgment). I don't know what that is as there are no files for that. In the last bifurcation hearing spouses' lawyer agreed to draw it up. I asked him to send it to me in advance so that I can look at it but haven't received anything and the next bif. court date is about a week away. My questions are:
A. Is this proposed judgment just dealing with bifurcation terms or does it already contain financial matters (I thought you do that in a separate trial...) that I have to agree to?
B. What if he draws up financial stuff that i don't want to agree to (apart from paying the health insurance of course that is part of the bifurcation terms)? Can the hearing be postponed again ?
