Legal Question in Family Law in California

Bigamy

I am currently living in Japan and my husband is in CA. We married this year and I found out he is still married to his first wife. I want to get divorce and sue him for bigamy. Can I sue him even I never lived in the States? If I let his first wife know about our marriage, she can sue him too? Also could be kicked out military or go to jail from this?

Re: Bigamy

first, you dont need a divorce because you are not married. Yes, tell his other wife and the military. I dont know about suing him, maybe you could for fraud.

Re: Bigamy

You do need to file for an annullment in California based upon illegality. An anullment declares that the marriage never existed. Please call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
