Legal Question in Family Law in California

Bigomy

I found out when my husband and I wanted to re-new our vows in New York that the town clerk wouldn't give us a license as they said my husbands previous divorce hadn't been signed by the judge. In Vermont, my husband told the town clerk his previous marriage was annulled therefore he didn't need proof of divorce. I believe this makes our divorce illegal?

In California your marriage would be void. This is a complex situation and you need to consult with an attorney regarding your rights and obligations.
