Legal Question in Family Law in California

Boyfriend and House

I have owned my house for 22 years. It is in my name only. Same with all of my real property and cars. I have had a live-in GF for 10 years, we are not married. Her name is not on anything and we have bought nothing together. Is there still any chance of her getting part of my house, car, etc, in a lawsuit should we break up? I live in CA.

Any lawyers out there? I'm hoping to avoid legal consultation fee for something that seems to be a simple answer.

Re: Boyfriend and House

Her claims are limited and difficult to prove. Her only claim is a "Marvin contract" claim, an example of which is she stays home and raises the kids and takes care of the household with your promise to support her, and then you say forget it deals off. It's a contractual claim, so what was the deal between you? Her deal can't simply be he promised we would always be together, or the like, there has to be some sort of an enforceable contractual relationship between you, a quid pro quo.
