Legal Question in Family Law in California

My boyfriend wants to modify his current child visitation from "reasonable visitation" to regular visits where he is able to see the kids and talk to them on the phone. What paperwork does he need to fill out in order to do this?

He needs to file a motion with the court requesting this change. "Reasonable visitation" orders are problematic in that if there is a disagreement between parents on timeshare, that kind of order is not easy to enforce since it s so vague. Setting out specific dates, holidays, vacations and the periods of time visitation is to take place gives you an order that is clear and enforceable.

He should contact the Family Law Facilitator for the LA Superior Court. They exist to help self-represented people find and fill out the proper paperwork for Family Court cases. They can't give legal advice, but they are very good at walking you through the process and forms. http://www.lasuperiorcourt.org/familylaw/ui/FacilitatorsInfo.aspx
