Legal Question in Family Law in California

Boyfriend Won't Move Out

My boyfriend & I recently (7 weeks ago) split up. We have been together for almost 10 years. Up until this past year, I totally supported him.

He was a student for @3 or so years then about 5-6 years of just ''having a good time'' while I worked & then 1 year of him working also. (He additionally had legal problems that lasted about 2 years from beginning to conclusion in which case couldn't find employment... barely tried)

Three & a half years ago I bought a house and he moved in w/ me. He has never paid rent nor contributed to utilities. He paid for half the groceries twice during this time.

Since we have now split, HE REFUSES TO MOVE OUT. Because of his past problem w/ law (ended w/ misdemeaner) and his relatively new job (1 yr old), I am reluctant to cause trouble for him. Dumb I know.

How do I get him to leave. What are my options.

Re: Boyfriend Won't Move Out

Give him a deadline of a few days to move out and if he does not then consult with an attorney and get an order moving him out.
