Breach of Contract

My father's ex-attorney in his divorce is suing him for $5400. He has already paid her over $19,000. The period (2.5 years) he did not pay her was at the end of the divorce and all she had to do was split assets. After 6.5 years she was unable to do this. I ended up doing this after she dropped him as a client and I did it within 2 months. Can I argue that she did not hold up her end of the contract? I also have evidence that she was padding her bills.

You should contact fee arbitration to have the fees arbitrated or the state bar to have the fee arbitrated.
