Legal Question in Family Law in California

CA child support after 18?

My husbands son could be held back in middle school due to VERY poor grades. He (son) has always lived with his mom. Poor grades have been an ongoing problem that custodial mom has chosen to ignore. Both parties live in CA. What is likelihood my husband will have to pay CS another year if boy is held back due to (on-going) FAILING grades???

I read somewhere that CA has a ''18 or until they graduate HS'' kind of law. But am curious if that applies in situatuions where the custodial parent has allowed the situation (poor grades) to continue for years?

Many thanks,

sudufu

Re: CA child support after 18?

Child support continues as long as he is enrolled as fulltime student in HS until the child is 19 or is no longer enrolled. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
