ca support

My husband left me 7 months ago. He was fired and refuses to get a job. He hasn't had one for 4 months. I do not receive any spousal or child support, but we do split royalties from a company began when we married. Can I give him an ultimatum?

You can give him an ultimatum, however, you would be better off just filing a motion for child and spousal support. The support orders will be calculated based upon his ability to work and can be taken from the royalties. I find that threats do not work as well as support orders. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
