Cal. Fam. Code section 852

husband buys car w/separate prop.

takes title as H&W. Couple have car

for several months..W files for dissolution......is car community asset or can H get reimbursement if he can trace funds ?

The car is community property and husband can trace the separate funds that he put into buying the car to receive reimbursement. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
