Legal Question in Family Law in California

CA-Laws(?) (Opinions(?) or Helpful info re: visitation rights of incarcerated Fa

My son (in CA prison til Feb 2005) and I just received guardianship papers for my sons daughter from the maternal grandmother. Her statement has so many lies in it it is pathetic how low she will stoop to keep our side of my granddaughters family from seeing her.

She stated I didn't try to see my granddaughter. I had no idea where she was!

My son is in prison for taking the mothers purse from his bedroom in an upstairs apt. The mother was downstairs in the parking lot at the time. When she saw him she ran after him and tripped and fell. -In these papers she stated my son robbed and beat her!!!!!!!!! I am so upset I don't know what to do. My son is in prison so this isn't going to look good anyway when we ask for visiting rights but what do I do about all the lies she is telling? I was told I don't have time to file papers for visiting because there is a 21 day time period....court for guardianship is Sept 22. My son just got the papers yesterday and I did today, there was no 21 days for that! What can we do? Please help with any suggestions or anything I'm a wreck!!!! Thank you
