Calif. case law concerning child support

Is there Cal case law dealing with the validity of retirement as a valid reason to either reduce,eliminate, or reverse child support orders?

Yes, there are a number of cases. A summary would be that

if the retirement is at normal retirement age, then the reduction

of income is a change of circumstance to be considered. If the

retirement is early, or without good cause, and greatly lowers

income, the court may disregard the reduction in income and continue

child support at the level justified by the prior salary.
