Legal Question in Family Law in California

In California, if the child has to be put in a rehab facility is the non-custodial parent required to pay half of that cost. The non-custodial parent is reponsible for half of any unpaid medical costs. I was not sure if this falls into that caegory or not.

If the parties have joint legal custody, both should consult as to whether it is necessary for the child to be placed. If it is deemed a necessity, then each parent would be responsible for 1/2 of the cost.
