Legal Question in Family Law in California

California Divorce

I filed for divorce on 4/20/09, but there was a problem with some of the paperwork & I had to re-file it, which I did on 7/1/09. My question is, will that move the final date from October 09 to January 2010, or will the original filing date hold & be final in October?

Here is a summary of the filing:

Re: California Divorce

The divorce can be final 6 months from the date that the respondent was served. Look on the proof of service filed on 06/26/09, not the date that the proof of service was filed, but the date the service stated that he received the papers. The date that respondent was served (received the papers) starts the 6 months. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
