Can one spouse stop a divorce for serveral years because they do not agree with getting the divorce?

California is a no fault divorce state. If one spouse says that there are irreconcilable differences in the marriage, the court will grant a divorce. The court will delay the divorce for only a month if both parties are willing to participate in counseling.
