How does california stand on jurisdiction of kentucky property when the divorce is started in Ca. and the property is in Ky.

It is based upon residency. If the litigant's are residents of California then all their property is under the California court wherever it is situated. Contact me directly.

The jurisdiction is not over the property, it is over the owners of the property. Unlike California property, the court cannot issue a judgement in rem, but a judgment in personam that requires the parties to take or refrain from taking action regarding the property is sufficient in most cases, given that failure to comply is punishable as criminal contempt and can easily result in jail time.
