california vs. utah

can a state take my child if i am not enrolled to the tribe, but my birth father and grandfather have their roll number?

You need to examine your indian tribe information to ensure that you are an active member of a recognized tribe. There are special rules in regards to american indians.

The tribe must recognize the child as a member of the tribe. That is the child must be registered with the tribe. If the birth father and paternal grandfather are registered with the tribe they should apply for tribal registration of the child.
