Legal Question in Family Law in California

Case Dismissal

I have received a ''Motion for discretionary dismissal after 3 years for delay in prosecution.'' I had been ordered to have supervised visitation in order to see my kids. I had also been ordered to see a psych. twice a week, which I have not done for financial reasons. Can I be questioned about my compliance with the courts orders if I attend this hearing? I'm not even sure what this hearing is about. Thanks.

Re: Case Dismissal

What this means is that the judge may dismiss the case, which would mean that there would be no orders with respect to your visitation. Talk to an attorney practicing in the court where the hearing is to see what it would mean. It may be cheaper to hire an attorney to appear at the hearing than to travel her yourself.
