Legal Question in Family Law in California

In case of divorce, do I have to share 50% of what I bought

I am married for 5 years and a half, and I have been the one working 10 times more than my husband. The result is that I did pay all furniture/computers/cameras etc... in addition to all monthly bills, food and rents.(and I have all bank statements proving it.)My question is, in case of divorce, can I take everything material that I bought or do I have to share with him on a 50/50 basis?

Your earnings during marriage were community property. Anything bought with those earnings are community property and are divided 50/50. Also, credit cards and debts incurred during the marriage are community debts and divided 50/50. Many times debts offset assets so that one party may take more of the community debt and more of the community property. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
