Legal Question in Family Law in California
Change of Custody
I am seeking custody of my two children who live in Texas with their mother. We were told she wanted them to come live with us and to send 2 one-way tickets, she told them she wanted them to come live with us also and we began making arrangements to make it happen this summer but then she ''takes it back''. My children BOTH want to come here but their mother will not allow it. How do I make my kids voice (and choice) heard? What steps do I need to take to gain physical custody?

Re: Change of Custody
First you need to determine which state has jurisdiction over the children. That would probably be Texas, unless you have a prior custody order from a CA court stating that this is their home state. If Texas, then you need an attorney licenced there to advise you. Good luck.
