Legal Question in Family Law in California
I want to change my daughters school...
I have a 3rd grader, and have shared physical and legal custody, I am in California. I want to change her schools, her father does not. I understand it's then my burden to prove why, correct? Is this a lost cause? It seems like the courts often treat this stuff very cookie cutter, I'm wondering if they only will allow this if there is a HUGE reason, like a death threat, or if I can successfully argue to move her to another school?

The guide for the court is the best interests of the child. Therefore you will succeed only by convincing the court that such a move benefits the child.
