Re: change locks on door

Depends. A spouse cannot be excluded from residence. So if you are married, unless you obtain a restraining order, no. If you are not married, who's on the lease? How long has each of you lived there and if your agreement isn't written, what is it? Most correctly, you technically need to evict him/her. Not legally speaking, just letting you know what I've seen, and that is people change the locks and it usually goes unpunished.
