Is there a way to change a temporary custody order before trial?

If your custody case is pending before the court and the need to change the parenting arrangement is not based on an emergency, then it is best to consider setting the parenting issue for trial. If there is an intervening change of circumstances or a situation that looks like it may be an emergency then you may wish to file the appropriate emergency pleadings to ask the court to intervene to change the temporary custody order.
