Changing my childrens last name how do I go about it
I have two children I had as a single mother they have my last name well one dose thee other has his fathers last name i have been married 12 year and they want to have my husbands last name how do I go about it

It depends on where the natural father is and his rights. The best thing to do would be for your husband to adopt your son if he wants to. An uncontested step-parent adoption is not very expensive. You can do a name change for the children rather easily, but you have to have the father served notice of the application for name change. A lawyer can do this procedure for you or if you feel confident, you can do it yourself by going to the civil clerks office at your local Superior courthouse and ask the clerk for the appropriate forms.
