Changing Courts

I want to go back to court to change my custody agreement with my childs mother. Three years ago we went through mediation, now my child is in school. I have moved and want to file papers in the city closer to my house. Will I be able to change courts? I have heard I will have to go back to the original court for a child custody case.

What do you mean exactly? Do you want to go to court in a different state? Also, where has the child been for the last 6 months?
