changing you name

My son was born in California and lives in Georgia does he have to change his name in CA or in GA?

Technically, he must change his name where he lives. Howewver, if he wants a new, amended birth certificate he probably ought to change his name in California since California might not issue a new birth certificate based on a Georgia decree. You might want to check with the California bureau of vital statistics.
