Changing visitation court order

I recently moved to Alabama, Can I change my visitation court order through the courts here in Alabama or do I have to go through a CA court system?

If the current order is in a California Court, then to modify it you must go back to that court.

If the other parent still lives in California you will have to ask the California court to modify the order unless and until the California court allows you to move jurisdiction to Alabama. The good news is that it may not be so difficult. You will need an attorney to file the motion, but you will probably not need to travel to California. Court mediation can be done over the telephone.
