child adoption under foreign law acceptable in USA

Dear Sir, I am a pakistani, married to a widow with 3 daighters living in California. The problem is : Whether I can adopt the kids under the Pakistani Law as we are settled here for the time being. Will it be acceptable in US law OR I will have to follow the US law once I will be there. The marriage took place in Pakistan. And Can I give the kids my name or Not? Thank you

yes it can be done

I dont know about Pakistani Law but you can certainly adopt the kids under US law if you are living here.
