Legal Question in Family Law in California

child born in Wi now in Ca, Father wants full custodey

my daughter and g/d moved back to Wi from Ca., Father of my g/d promised a new life in Ca. Now he wants my daughter to move back to Wi w/o daughter so she can establish herself,she had that before he wanted to work things out

Please let me know what I can do for my daughter and g/d

If she moves back without the daughter he will have custody and an advantage. California may be the child's home state. Further the parent with custody has an advantage when it comes to a custody decision by the court. She should insist that her daughter go with her to WI. Otherwise she should remain in CA until there is a custody order. His statement while it may have some appeal appears to be a trap for her to insure that he gets custody. She needs to retain an attorney to assist her in obtaining custody and an order to move to WI.
