Legal Question in Family Law in California

child consived from one night stand.

my friend was served to get a DMA test. a child was born 13 years ago from a night where more than one man was involved with the female. it was taken by the guys involved as an adventure. 13 years later one of the guys came to be 99.78 probable to be the father, this child was born in california and another man signed the birth certificate as the father.. 13 years later the child is in Utah and a test was done on the man that signed the birth certificate and found not to be the biological father .. after testing several people they found the biological father, he never knew of this childs existance. why is he responsible for paying child support, can he gave up any and all parental rights in order to NOT pay the child support of a child not wanted ...the child does not live with the mother nor the father, the family member aplied for state help(welfare?) no information is being probided to the now biological father, questions are not being answered. how can he renounse to his rights. is this posible? he does not want to be responsible for this child.

Re: child consived from one night stand.

He is responsible unless someone is willing to adopt the child. He cannot just deny the child and avoid paying child support.
