Can a child of age 14 yrs. old decide they don't want to go to their fathers any more, who at the time has joint custody?

The child cannot change the court order. However, the reality is if a 14 year does not want to visit it can be difficult to enforce a visitation order. As a general rule working with the 14 year old and developing a good relationship works better that attempting to enforce the order.
