Legal Question in Family Law in California
Child Custody to abusive father
I am writing about my three grandchildren who lives in California with their mother who is my daughter. She has 50/50 custody of her children(bi-weekly) and when ever the kids have to go back to their dad they are TERRIFIED. Their dad is neglectful. Mentally, physically and emotionally abusive to the kids. I know first hand...I used to live in California just 2 months ago and those kids were afraid of their father. He has a new wife that has abused the kids so bad that she has a restraining order to protect the kids. The kids have been sexually abused by the dad's brother but he still takes them over the house for unsupervised visits because he baby sits even though he had to register as a sex offender and is not to be with the kids who are 8,6,4 yr olds. When the situation was brought to the judge he didnt address it. The kids have been referred to mental health by their Dr. and my daughter has repeatedly gone to CPS for help, the local police and was even jailed to keep the kids from going to their dad because of abuse. Can you help us. The oldest son is really having emotional problems. He has migranes and stomach problems. The kids asks for a chance to talk to the police or CPS so some one can listen. They need help. Can you help

The children need a counselor and your daughter needs an attorney. That is about the only way to protect the children. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
